About Me
My background
Hello, my name is Debra "Daisy" Beuckens and I began my career in the Interior Design business while living in the Black Hills area of South Dakota in 1998 and working in a flooring sales position. I was studying with the Sheffield School of Interior Design in New York through a correspondence program and earned my degree as well. I relocated to the gulf coast of Florida and worked in cabinetry, furniture, flooring sales and for a luxury Interior Design business. That led to working with a builder as the designer for several custom built homes. Then I met someone that introduced me to the Window Fashion industry and helped me to set up accounts with manufacturers and vendors. I loved the ability to be creative and design for clients. As well as to see the finished job completed and how that that would transform any room. Window fashions also provide comfort and style and make every room fabulous! Today I currently sell flooring and window fashions, although I love a complete design job when needed!
How I got started
I became interested in home decorating and design at an early age. My Dad built and remodeled homes and my Mother worked for a real estate company. I would help choose paint colors and decorate my rooms along with helping my Dad on jobsites. I loved the comment by my best friend, "Your room looks like it should be in a magazine!" and I never forgot it. I still love to find inspiration through all kinds of sources, including magazines.
My style
My personal decorating style could be described as vintage beach cottage, or country classic farmhouse, or cozy cabin luxury, or modern edgy city vibe or romantic European chateau or rustic glamour bungalow! Yes, I love it all and do change my style and mind from time to time.
